Agent Presets

Creating an effective AI agent from scratch requires time, iterations, and domain knowledge. Rela AI's Agent Presets eliminate that process: they are predefined, tested, and optimized prompts for the most common roles in industrial operations. With a preset, you can have an agent working correctly in minutes instead of days.

Each preset was developed based on real use cases from Rela AI customers. They aren't generic templates — they are specialized configurations that reflect how technicians, coordinators, and supervisors actually work in industrial plants. The language, rules, and tool usage are calibrated for each role.

Presets are the starting point, not the endpoint. After applying one, you can customize it with the Prompt Optimizer or edit it manually to adjust it to the particularities of your operation.

How does it work?

The preset library is organized by functional category. Each preset includes:

• Complete prompt: Ready to use as-is, with identity, instructions, rules, and tool guides.
• Recommended tools: List of tools the agent must have configured to get the most out of the preset.
• Use cases: Description of which situations it's designed for and what types of queries it handles best.
• Suggested customization: Which parts of the preset are typically adjusted for each organization.

Available presets:

Predictive Maintenance: Agent specialized in querying asset health status, interpreting degradation alerts, and recommending interventions. Knows how to read predictive scores and how to communicate technical risks in clear language for field technicians.

Operational Monitoring: Agent designed to respond to real-time operational status queries: which alarms are active, which equipment is offline, and what the shift situation is. Ideal for control rooms and shift supervisors.

Technical Support: Agent oriented to resolving technical questions about equipment using available documentation collections: manuals, procedures, technical data sheets. Answers diagnostic questions and provides step-by-step instructions.

Task Management: Agent that helps create, assign, and track work orders and maintenance tasks. Integrated with Rela AI's task system to query status and record progress.

Spare Parts & Inventory: Agent specialized in spare parts availability queries, consumption recording, and low stock alerts. Connected to the spare parts management module.

Using the Dashboard

To access the preset library, navigate to Agents > New Agent or edit an existing agent and go to the prompt configuration section.

Explore the library: Click "View Presets" to open the library. You can filter by category or search by name. Each preset shows a short description and the tools it requires.

Apply a preset: Select the preset you want to use and click "Use this preset." The system loads the prompt into the agent editor. Review the content and adjust the organization-specific details (company name, areas, relevant contacts).

Customize after applying: Once applied, the preset is editable like any other prompt. You can use the Prompt Optimizer to adjust specific sections or edit manually.

Save as custom preset: If you develop a great prompt for your organization, you can save it as a private preset to reuse when creating agents of the same type at other sites.
