Billing & Subscriptions
Rela AI plans, what each includes, how monthly usage is measured, and when it is time to move to a higher plan.
Billing & Subscriptions
Rela AI has four plans designed for different operation sizes: from a small plant with a single WhatsApp agent to a multi-plant enterprise with dozens of agents and intensive equipment monitoring. This section explains what each plan includes, how usage is counted, and what happens when you approach the limit.
What is it for?
The billing module allows the platform administrator to:
- See how much of the monthly quota has been consumed so far
- Understand which plan is needed based on growth
- Receive alerts before reaching the limit to make decisions with lead time
- Review usage history for the last 24 months
Available plans
| Plan | Agents | Events/month | Tools | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 500 | 5 | 100 MB |
| Starter | 5 | 10,000 | 25 | 1 GB |
| Professional | 20 | 100,000 | 100 | 10 GB |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Custom |
How to choose the right plan:
- Free: to explore the platform or run a pilot with a single agent
- Starter: for small plants with 2-5 agents and basic monitoring
- Professional: for operations with multiple production lines, several agents, and continuous equipment monitoring
- Enterprise: for multi-plant companies that need SSO, white label, custom domain, and dedicated support
How does usage counting work?
The system measures four main indicators:
| Indicator | What is counted |
|---|---|
| Active agents | Number of created agents (WhatsApp, email, machine) |
| Processed events | Each sensor event, WhatsApp message, or email processed by an agent |
| Storage | Space occupied by files, collections, and data |
| Created tools | Number of configured tools |
Usage accumulates during the month and resets on the first day of each month. The history for each period is retained for review and audit.
How to use it?
View current usage
Go to Administration > Billing to see in real time:
- What percentage of the monthly limit has been consumed for each indicator
- A progress bar per indicator (green → yellow → red)
- The projected consumption by end of month based on the current rate
Interpret usage alerts
The system sends automatic alerts to the administrator:
| Alert level | When | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | At 80% of limit | Review whether the consumption rate will continue |
| Critical | At 95% of limit | Plan an upgrade or adjust usage |
| Limit reached | At 100% | No more resources can be created until the monthly reset or plan change |
Features exclusive to each plan
Some advanced features are only available on higher plans:
| Feature | Required plan |
|---|---|
| White Label (custom logo and colors in reports) | Professional and Enterprise |
| Audit log export | Professional and Enterprise |
| SSO / single sign-on (SAML) | Enterprise only |
| Custom domain | Enterprise only |
| Priority support | Enterprise only |
Excess consumption
If the plan is exceeded before the monthly reset:
- Additional events: charged per blocks of 1,000 additional events
- Additional storage: charged per additional GB used
- Agents and tools: it is not possible to create more until an upgrade — the system blocks creation with a clear message
The dashboard shows the overage projection based on current consumption so you can anticipate the cost before it occurs.
Key benefits
- Real-time view of monthly consumption without needing to request reports
- Automatic alerts at 80% and 95% of the limit to decide with advance notice
- End-of-month consumption projection to avoid billing surprises
- 24-month history for growth trend analysis
- Advanced features unlocked by plan — no additional configuration required
Common use cases
Scenario 1: Small plant evaluating whether it needs an upgrade A company has the Starter plan (5 agents, 10,000 events/month). They have configured 3 agents and process an average of 7,800 events. The dashboard shows 78% of events and 60% of agents consumed. The projection indicates that at the current rate they will reach 95% in 3 weeks. The administrator decides to upgrade to Professional before approaching the limit to avoid interrupting operations.
Scenario 2: Controlling event consumption A company notices it is consuming more events than expected. They open the usage detail and see that 60% of events come from a temperature sensor configured with a 10-second sampling frequency. They adjust the frequency to 60 seconds for that sensor — sufficient for continuous monitoring. Consumption drops 45% without losing monitoring quality.
Scenario 3: Enterprise company negotiating limits An industrial company with 12 plants in 3 countries is evaluating Rela AI. Their operation requires more than 100 agents and processing of millions of events per month. The Enterprise plan includes custom limits, guaranteed support SLA, SSO with the corporate directory (Azure AD), and full white label to present the platform under their own brand to internal clients. Terms are negotiated directly with the Rela AI team.
